Interschool sport
Sunnybank State High School provides students with opportunities to participate in interschool competitions within the Karawatha Sports District. This includes Touch Football, Softball, Basketball, Volleyball and Cricket.
Our school competes with other schools in the Karawatha district including, Browns Plains State High School, Macgregor State High School, Park Ridge State High School, Runcorn State High School and Calamvale and Stretton Colleges. Gala cluster days are held for rugby union and rugby league.
Opportunities are provided to participate in trials for selection at district (Karawatha) and regional (Metropolitan West) representative levels. The school has a large number of regional, state and national representatives.
