Please join us on Saturday June 3rd from 10am to 2pm as we hold our Open Day in conjunction with our 60th Anniversary Celebrations. We will have tours run by students and the Principal, open classrooms, games, archival displays, stalls, enrolment information, student performances and much more.
The official welcome will begin at 10.15am in the Hall, and throughout the rest of the day, there will be displays, demonstrations and activities on throughout the school, with each faculty showcasing their subjects. We have a collaborative art piece in the art rooms, Science experiments, Japanese calligraphy, origami and games, frisbee golf, STEM activities and much more planned. There will also be a professional photobooth set up for all the past, present and future SSHS community to enjoy. All of these activities will run from 10am to 2pm so people can wander through spending time where they like.
Student performances will occur in different places throughout the day. Student led tours will run every half hour from the Administration block, and the Principal's tour (including a sneak peek of the new Industrial Trade Centre) will leave at 12 noon.
Breezeway Café will be open for drinks and food, and the P&C will also be having a BBQ.
