Parent teacher communication

Parents are encouraged to contact the school at any time to discuss their student’s progress. Sunnybank State High School keenly encourages parent involvement in their student’s education.

Parent teacher meetings are held twice a year – once after the Interim Term 1 report and again after the completion of the Semester 1 reports.  An end of Semester 2 report is posted home to parents.

Parents are invited to become members of the Parents and Citizens Association which operates the school canteen and uniform shop. In association with the Multicultures Youth Interagency Team, parent forums are offered and focus on a range of topics relating to education and youth development.  At these forums parents input into the school's direction is sought and robust discussion assists school and community cohesion.
