World War I Centenary

World War I Centenary

With the centenary of the First World War upon us, we’ve created a display of artefacts to show people what Australia was like in 1914 when war was declared. We’ve also provided a focus on the major players at the beginning of the war, what they looked like and what they did. Some of the artefacts on display are original from the war and include an Australian soldier’s uniform.

The exhibition will be open to the public on Saturday 13 September from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. Come and have your photo taken as a British Field Marshall, an Australian Infantryman, a New Zealand Infantryman or a Turkish Infantryman.
